Collecting items is very important too, especially artifacts and special weapon parts. This means you can also pick up some items in one of two chapters, even though they are designated as being in a specific chapter. The one thing that can get a bit tricky though is keeping track of all collectibles in a given level, because the game rather seamlessly transitions from one chapter to the next. There is PLENTY to do and explore in the sp campaign, even without the coop mission areas, but if you are a 100% fanatic, you will need to play with someone to do the coop missions.

I also played the Awakened DLC many times, so even though I did not play the coop missions, I DID get in a fair bit of action with Carver. I played sp only, but got to know it very well. I got the feeling some of them didn't even play the game and were just going off knee jerk reactions of what others said about it, and others didn't try different modes or play all of it's content. I have found that many of the bad reviews are vague, and when I suggested things like Classic mode, or asked if they'd played all the dungeons for those whom didn't like the extensive crafting idea or claimed it didn't have enough horror, most would not reply.
